Easy reset new and old bb5 phones without fbus cable

THE INABILITY TO BUY EVERY NEW CABLE IN THE MARKET AND THE RIGMAROLE
OF USING THE UFC LED TO THIS DISCOVERY

YOU CAN MAKE FACTORY RESET, REMOVE SECURITY CODE AND FULL FORMAT VIA USB, ALL YOU NEED IS TO FIRST PUT THE PHONE IN TEST OR LOCAL MODE BEFORE CONNECTING CABLE..

WHAT YOU NEED

A 4.7K RESISTOR OR SIMILAR, SEE ATACHMENT

POWER OFF PHONE, PUT ONE LEG OF THE RESISTOR ON THE BATT -

AND ONE LEG ON THE BATT BSI

PUT BATTERY AND PRESS AND HOLD POWER ON

PHONE SHOULD SHOW LOCAL MODE OR TEST MODE. DEPENDING ON THE VALUE OF YOUR RESISTOR. ONCES PHONE IS IN TEST MODE, CONNECT USB CABLE AND READ INFO. YOU CAN DO JOBS. 4.3K WORKS ALSO IN TEST MODE. 4.7 GOES TO LOCAL MODE. ALL WORKS.

I ALSO BROKE A BB5 CABLE AND REMOVE RESISTOR, TESTED ON NOKIA E75 WORKED, n70 WORKED, E5 WORKED.. SHOULD WORK ON ALL BB5 PHONES.

YOU CAN TEST DIFFERENT VALUES OF RESISTORS AND POST REPLY.

Actually this is great trick for new phones and old phones as well....Its very old trick to get phones in local or test mode....
As far as resistor value concern for latest phone we need 7.5K or above value resistor or 10+K resistor for N95 type phones...
You can use power supply or even usb power for test/local mode....

No need to hunt for resistor if you own a F-bus cable...

You can simply connect all bb5 with the B+, BSI, and GNDS of your Universal F-BUS instead of using a battery, and connect phone directly to PC using USB cable... Most Universal F-Bus is able to vary resistor Vaule...Must Work!!!
