I tried this method with my 6133 - with the goal of installing 6131 f/w - but NSU does not find the firmware for any of the european 6131 product codes..

any clues? anyone with european 6126 product codes?

Hi, I have a 7390 with firmware V 03.84 / 23-10-06 / RM-140. I want to use NSU to change it to V 04.51.I tried the codes that I fond in this thread 0523189 but it tells me that there is no update available at the time, I think is because is still the same Firmware. Does anybody have the product code for an unbranded 7390 V04.51 EURO 1, 2 or 3. Thanks in advance!

HI,
I have an AU 6280 running 3.65 (old, optus branded). I'd like to update with this message but I have seen the online NSU only lists 6288 not 6280. If I were to change codes to a 6288 (even though it never came with f/w 3.65) should I be able to update?

On that note, if it should work, does anyone have a code for an unbranded AU 6288?

Thankyou!! (This seems the best flashing method by far)

The only way now to install differ FW is to use Phoenix and find the flash file for the 6131. Nokia software updater does not allow the ability to re-install firmware with product code.

Would this apply for me also, if I changed my 6280 code to 6288 product code, would the NSU work? Or do I need to use Phoenix?

I just have the feeling that changing code and using NSU would be "safer", but will do Phoenix if I have to.

Branded 6151 / Unbrand Product Code

Hello everyone, I'm trying to unbrand my 6151, I've located a product code from another post on this forum (0540192) and changed my original 0542084 (Optus - Australia), I've changed the code in NSS and then I've run Nokia Software Updater and after downloading and flashing, it boots up with the exact same firmware, stupid Optus Australia with silly animated Zoo animals.

Could someone advise were I might be going wrong.

Would be nice to have the original nokia firmware and not the Optus Australia branded version that makes it look like a childs toy!

Thanks,

C-H

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding product codes for a 7373.
NSS reports that the product code is 0540888 which includes vietnamese, english, and chinese (traditional and simplified), but I want to know what product code I would have to use if I want to have english and spanish (spanish preferred) instead, since I use T9 a lot.
On the only site that I know has the product codes listed, there are lots of codes for Euro-A, B, C... and I don't know which one to use. (Preferably, the one intended for North-Latin America.)
Could anyone please assist me with this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes this applies to you as well. NSU doesn't allow to re-install firmware based on your product codes like they did in the past. I used Phoenix for both my 6133 and 6288. Good Luck.

Version 1.3.0 has offered me an option of re-flashing my 5.50 6131 with 5.50 again. Or are you saying that they don't allow to go from one product code to another within the same version?

If you the same firmware you are able to flash it with different product codes, however on the 6133 the firmware is RM-126 and the 6131 is RM-115. Thus when you attach your 6133 and it searches it will not find any codes for RM-115, therefore you will need to do a "DEAD" phone flash to get the RM-115 on the phone. At least this is how I did it.

Now for the 6280=> 6288 it may or may not, since I do not know what firmware the 6280 has. The 6288 is RM-78, so if the firmware is the same the person will NOT have to do the "DEAD" phone flash.

Hope this makes sense.
