Free SIM unlock: Is there a tool, a flashing method or something? - GSM-Forum

Hey

This question has probably been asked 10 elevated to the 10 power (10^10) but is there a tool or some way to flash a new (and modified) firmware to a phone (specifically the Nokia N97) and have it SIM unlocked? And when I mean free I mean only the phone, the software and the cable is necessary. Nothing else, such as paying a unlock site (which are becoming nowadays more and more of a scam)

You an flash it for free with phoenix but you need to purchase any dongle,box or code for unlocking.

So currently there is no way to generate a code, using your IMEI, to unlock your phone for free, like old Nokias?

The only other way would be to ask your carrier correct?

yes.You are right.Too old models code calculator are available but they are useless like who is going to unlock Nokia 3310.Now i think you can understand me.
