Member: 293343 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | bb5 reaper 6280 and phoenix I followed all the bb5 reaper instruction, but I have some question before trying flashing my italian 6280? 1. After installing Phoenix 2006, I connected my 6280 trough usb cable, but the phone must be switched on or off? And with or without simcard? 2. There are 2 different firmwares, 3.81 and 5.92, which I should use? BB5 reaper use 3.81 example, but lots of people says 5.92 is better. 3. After opened rm78, should I change Phoenix Operating mode to Normal? BB5 reaper does not specifically say it, but I can see it from the screen shot. 4. How can I guess my right Product Code? There isn't one for 3 ita branded 6280 I am sure my questions are silly for expert users like you, but I have to learn in some way...! Thanks!! |

Member: 293343 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | thanks, but it is a wrong code. Yesterday my friend said that some phone store the simlock system in another part of memory, and not inside the firmware, this is why even if I have changed my firmware I already have the simlock....he said that some time the simlock is inside the boot loader, but I have followed the procedure for dead phone, so I have rewrited the boot loader too....I have used the same product code writed below the battery, maybe this firmware have 0529993 has the sim lock inside, can I flash again using another product code? Or I will kill my phone? My question is, every 6280 with different product code are phisically different in hardware (maybe with other memory allocation or .... I don't know what else) or they are all the same, and change only the software? Thank you |

Member: 293343 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | This RM-78 (6280) is italian and branded 3. If I put inside a UK sim card, the phone ask me for a code, if I use another 3 sim card, not the one I bought it with, it switch on, try to connect with 3 and after some seconds it says that is impossible to register this sim card, maybe this detail can help someone on understand why after flashing I still have a simlock. Now I have a 5.92 firmware. |
