N95 8GB Lock Code - GSM-Forum

Hello!
I have a problem with my phone. I've been using it for a couple of years and decided that, because it was acting up, I should format it (green+*+3+power). After the format the phone asks me for a lock code. I can't remember when the hell I changed it but it's nod 12345 or 00000. I've tried using a master code with my IMEI and the online master code generators google provided me with but they are not working.
Is there any way to get my phone back? I've tried using JAF but it doesn't detect my phone when I power it on. Please help!

I'm using hwk to do this job, but it will be done with JAF also.

1. Read PM your phone using JAF or UFS or MT BOX (only read PM, not anything else like PM 308, SX4B, read cert), AND SAVE IT, OK!
2. Download the software and use it to read your PM BB5 Lock Code Reader & Unlock Counter Resetter v.0.2 [bojs]
3. Open your BB5 PM phone "klik nokia PM file" and this software will show your LOCK PHONE CODE

The problem is I don't have a box. I was using JAF with the OGM Pkey emulator. All I have is the phone, a PC and an USB cable. Is this something that I can't fix myself?

Sorry are you a technician or just try to fix your phone (or an advance phone software user)? The PC that you have it's yours, not for share like a rental huh?

Because it's still can be done if you understand of any software that i will mention:

1. Phoenix Service Software 2010.24.008.43820 or
2. NokiaCareSuiteForStore-2010_36_4 or
3. Try to googling for downloading usb nokia tools lite
(Choose one of above, all PERFECT software. Not EMULATOR like JAF you have. It's PURE nokia repairing software, not use BOX or EMULATOR)

Why i asked to you about your PC. Because it's need internet connection for istallation. Some installation software above need microsoft vc++, netframework and some that i forgot files. That minus files will download automatically in installation.

from one software that you downloaded. After installation, restart your PC. Connect your phone "SHUT DOWN/OFF", plug usb than turn ON phone. READ PM, than try read using my FIRST POST.

OR YOU CAN TRY TO ADVANCED YOURSELF WITH Nokia BB5 USB Utility 2.5 HOW IT'S WORK, BECAUSE I NEVER USE THIS SOFTWARE. AND POST YOUR RESULT.

Yes, the PC that I have is mine. I have a basic understanding of the programs. I learn as I go which I did when I used JAF with OGM key emulator to flash my old 5800XM with C6 firmware so I thought I could use JAF to do the same with the N95 8GB. I will try your methods right now and see what comes up! Thank you for your answers! I hope I can be of some help to you one day!

I think I've figured it out. I've been having problems connecting the phone to the PC. I'm using a rather old PC (PentiumIII, Slot 1 motherboard etc.). I thought that it was strange that the PC did not detect new hardware when I plugged in the phone. It's because the USB ports on this PC do not support +5VSB and 1A or 2A on the ports.
I will return here when I can go to a computer with a +5VSB port
