You cannot change it, if you try to change it that will result unto corrupted

If you try to do so you gonna replace some IC's....

ok man you want to change your N97 imei,then let's go:
1- remove the battery from your phone
2-you will see a white sticker
3- prepare a black pen
4-write the new imei on the sticker
PS - write juste 15 numbers

and if it work for you ,then you will be rich for sure.
