Member: 736211 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | nokia 5300 dead while updating i am new to this forum and need help.. i was updating my software on nokia 5300 from nokia software updater. it was v 7.20 firmware update. while process is going on phone display showed up "Test mode", then after sometime the software updater showed that the connectivity to the phone has lost and need to remove, reconnect the cables and turn on the phone. so i did what it said. phone turned on, immediately i checked the version it has updated and displayed v 7.20. but as i reconnected the usb cable also and clicked retry in software updater, it again did something and phone showed up test mode again. after that same lost connectivity message. so i removed all cables and reconnected. THE PHONE IS DEAD. wont turn on. i contacted the nearest nokia care, (the technicians over there, i believe might be some local teechnicians got together and kept the Nokia care) , they said they will try, after one day, they told that it wont get repaired. So I am here.... Please let me know whether i can reflash the set when it is dead?/ If i can do anything please plaese let me what all sw/hw I need... or the links where i can get the help ( might be prev posts) etc.. awaiting ur resposnse.. thank you solomon |
