Nokia 5800 display problem!

i have a problem on my 5800xm similar to that posted in other threads on the forum. I get th vertical lines when my backlight goes off and the only way to get back the screen is by restarting. I connect the phone to the t.v and it shows perfect on t.v but on th screen its vertical lines. My question is that, is it a DISPLAY or a SENSOR problem? We dont have care center in my country and i certainly dnt have warranty anymore. I want to risk having the lcd replaced at a cost of $30. Will this solve the problem? Is it more of a sensor problem or lcd problem??? Thank you for your kind help.

hairline fractures? thats a new term to me. but if yiu mean fractures like cracks or broken then that is not what i mean. right now am using the fone and it works perfect. the moment i i lock the fone and unlock it the vertical blueish redish lines will appear. some say sensor oroblem others say lcd problem. i want to be certain its lcd before i buy it. its cheap!!!
