Nokia 6301 firmware.

Hello.
I have a nokia 6301 which is sim-locked with Orange and i sent it to unlock. They flashed the fireware of 6300 which its version is RM-217 on my phone and i lost my WIFI function. I asked them to un-do it but they couldn't and they haven't got any firmware for 6301. I have been to few shops and the answers were all the same.
i have researched quite a few hours on google to try to sort this out. I download a firmware file for 6301 which is RM-322 but it is an exe file. Isn't that a windows installation file?

I am here to ask how to install the firmware on my nokia 6301.

Hope someone can answer my question.

it's installation pack made for flashers. take it back and tell them to flash it with your fw

Is there any methods to flash it myself?

i dont know about any except using cracked software (that is illegal).

By the way, could you check by *#0000# version of software and put the result here ?

Do you check the imei is your phone,
if not wrong 6301 and 6300 have Hw control.
mean 6301 can't flash to 6300 frimware (will not power on)
and 6300 can't flash 6301 frimware (will also not power on)

i think who help you unlock have exchange your bord to be 6300 baord.
check and give result here(interestede to know it result)

would be nice if can unlock 6301 by flashing to 6300 I also doubt this is possible

please let us know if imei is same as original, else someone has pulled a fast one one you in the store.

I've spent two days messing with firmware and PM (it's the permanent memory I told you about, yorkyang) and maybe there is some way to unlock 6301 by making it acting like 6300 but I really doubt it.

I've solved really many troubles, but unlocking 6301 by testpoints using bb5 boxes (for now of course) seems to be impossible.

And... I'm 99,9% sure that they must have switched boards.

imei has been changed.

we take 6300 rap3g to 6301
simlock is ok,but imei go to 1234567890 (phone will auto off)

The imei has been changed but when they flash the firmware, i was there with them. i didn't see them change my motherboard.
The firmware on my phone is now nokia 6300 V05.50 Rm-217

mean they was change full phone of they very fast hand change your baord untill you not see it.
seem in the world not one can change BB5 imei,
if the guys ready change bb5 imei , i need to buy this solution for very hight prices.

I think that, for now, there are only two ways to get 6301 unlocked :

1.dm3 box
2.code generating servers

and... the third one,hehe

having sx5 auth card lol

Hi there,

I have bought and unlocked an Orange-branded Nokia 6301 handset, and it seems that the Wi-fi and Email functions are tied to the Orange configuration settings (in Settings> Configuration) in the software on the phone. You can add O2 configuration settings, but they only seem to be applied to MMM and Web browsing, not the other functions, which remain 'tied to' the Orange config. settings, which of course I cannot use as I am on O2.

This makes the phone a bit useless for me, I have tried updating the firmware (with same version as was on latest), but the Firmware Updater in the PC Suite seems to be wise to the branding - it updates with the same network firmware that the phone was on before (not the SIM card one).

I have also read elsewhere that the Wi-fi only works on Orange if the phone is Orange-branded, so I suspect I might have a problem here unless I can overwrite the firmware with a non-Orange/O2 version - can anyone advise how to do this, or how else to solve the above problem? Even getting the POP3 email working would be great...
