Nokia N8 Rpl Confirmation - GSM-Forum

So I have a nokia n8 that all of a sudden did not want to turn on.

After som investigation I found that the insertion of the sim card was causing this. Without the sim phone would work as normal (but trying to use the camera would cause a immediate shutoff).

Sim was working fine in other phones.

I gave to a mobile phone repair place (big mistake) and after 2 hours they said the problem was that the serial was missing (I kid you not *#06# returned blank )

So I searched around on this forum and found that the IMEI was corrupted ...quick check with Phoenix confirmed the IMEI was 123456012345? .

The soultion I have found so far is to post the ask file on fastrpl.com and get a rpl file to flash th phone with.

Question.
In anyones best opinion is that all I need to do to fix it.

File Extraction - I'm from Fiji so i do not have a box yet...any software solutions to extract .ask using usb or do I need a box. Please also recommend a retailer that ships to Fiji.

Any way to usb flash RPL to nokia n8. I have serached the forums a lot but sifting through came up with squat and NO answers only. This is just a confrimation.

Best place to get RPL, would really prefer to use paypal. fastrpl.com is a last resort.

ques no 1 = nokia rpl is only solution to solve imei issue .

ques no 2 = yes u need any third party software to write rpl. jus search for reseller near u !!

ques no 3 = yes u can write rpl by usb also but need third party software (like infinity best, cyclone , advance turbo flasher , mx-key/hti , mt-nokia)

ques no 4 = fastrpl.com is best as my side . I also purchase rpl from this site , no problem at all.

But i would like to ask u cant u provide with the Rpl file as we all need the same n as u have already purchased...!!!

n also tel me how to fix this Rpl file??
