Nokia N80 keyboard no lights!? - GSM-Forum

When I slide down the phone the keyboard dowsn't light on, I don't know whether it's because of some settings or it's a hardware problem, can someone give me the right answer please?

p.s. The phone is locked to Vodafone UK, and I'm using it in offline mode!
Is there a way of unlocking these kind of phones yet, or still NO!?!?

But what about the keyboard of the N80, why its lights doesn't work, can anyone give an answer please!?

I just noticed that when I restart the phone the keyboard lights on untill the main screen appears and then it lights off!!!
This I think excludes the hardware problem, should be something in the settings of the phone!?
Could it be a software problem, or...??
Can someone help me out here?

The keypad of N80 automaticaly turns off when you are in daylight. It automaticaly turns on when you are on dark!

About the unlocking - look http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=361964

It seems there is a way to unlock, but only for VODAPHONE UK phones

thank you for the answer, but unfortunately my sensor for the light is not working, i realized that it's positioned on the top left side, where the small light is!

p.s. the link opens the adobe reader web site?????

two upper sensor with nseries of nokia phone when sun light on keypad light of through to sensors when you cover sensor with finger keypad light automatically on
