1st back up rpl & pm.
then just do factory setting in any box.
if not done then flash with higher version.
check security area.

Switch-off the phone (Remove the battery and re-insert it, if necessary). Now Press and HOLD the GREEN (Call) key, RED (Call end) key and the Camera-capture key SIMULTANEOUSLY. While still pressing the above three keys press the power On/Off key, hold them until phone boots up.

This is how to format Nokia 5230, 5800, 5233.

Here is the step-by-step instruction:
1. Switch off your phone
2. Hold call key (Green Button), Cancel button(Red key) and camera together at the same time..and switch on your phone.
That's it.Enjoy Format complete.!

fixed .. twice

I did face this situation twice and solution was easy both times

the first case was that the battery connectors were a little lose
so I what I did was that I removed them and re-welded them back again
and that was it


the second case was treated with ATF after a clean flash with the latest version all what I did was to format drives like this:
