Member: 1761368 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Sigma X-sim working with Nokia E51 I bought one of these cards off e*ay and I am trying to use it with a locked Nokia E51: http://cgi.e*ay.co.uk/ws/e*ayISAPI.d...m=190674564648 It's not working, and the only answer I can get from the seller is that I can get a full refund, when what I really wanted to know is it should work or not, and for what reason might it not be working properly (firmware version...?). The only difference it makes is that with the phone accepts the locked sim PIN code and doesn't return an "invalid SIM card" warning - so it's doing something, but it doesn't actually get network signal. The card is not like the one on the listing. Here's a front/back photo of it: http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/5...sigmascard.jpg Thanks in advance for your help. ps: I found some instructions on the internet like this one (super x-sim) which won't work, I guess it's for other types of card. ps2: this is the description on e*ay: Code: This version will unlock Most GSM phones in the market now and works with 3G cards. Sigma X-SIM is made of a very thin piece of FPC (0.10mm) with a Microcontroller mounted on, that goes between your Operators SIM card & the phones SIM socket. Product Features: Fully reprogrammable by end user using a simcard reader Fully configurable with 10 000 modi - without using a PC Works without Test-Point, Computer, logs, Cables or Hacks Instant unlocking - Plug & Play Safe, secure and cheap key Unlocks without loosing the phone's warranty Long lasting and durable solution Technical Specifications: Based on a 0.10 mm thin FPC with gold Immersion Micro Controller which can handle all voltages and speeds required in this environment Dimensions and contact pattern according to the official ISO-7816 ID000 specifications FPC, components and solder tin used are ROHS compliant Technical Details: Does not do any changes to your SIM card or phone (you only have to make a cut in the SIM card) Does not influence any communication between the phone and the network and vice versa Real time on the fly communication modifications, does not reroute SIM card traffic (Its transparent to the phone) Supports speed enhancement for simcards Work with 1.8V, 3V SIM cards Works with normal and inverted protocol SIM cards It's slim enough to fit together with your SIM card into most phones SIM socket Instruction: Just make one small cut in your plastic SIM card to make room for the X-Sim as shown on the picture. Supported Models results: ( All supported models could not be listed. We will update the supported models , if necessary) |
