Member: 138430 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Upgrading 6630 firmware and Network Provider Lock I've unlocked yesterdat my 6630 in the network provider Portugal-TMN for 100euros. It works fine with any SIM card, but they did not give me the unlock code, I had to take it to a TMN point service to unlock it. Today I went to Nokia carepoint service to update the firmware from 3.54 to 5.03 and they told me that after updating the software I should take the mobile phone to TMN so they unlock it again since after updating software the phone would assume it's initial values and would become locked again. I hope that this information helps out there for firmware updates after unlocking phones. I should have my phone back in next 2 hours and I will confirm the SIM lock restriction back again. I'll post it then. Good luck guys! |
