Sorry if I sound a little sceptical. |

Member: 1180 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | the box is only an interface not an unlocker... so if it can communicate with a J5 you only need the unlocking soft to unlock your phone ! They also have a Version2 box which I saw on many gsm sites for sale, more expensive on these site than gsm-technology of course... but this Version3 has a intergrated Nokia flasher !! |

Member: 4939 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Sorry, misunderstood the purpose of the box, now I see even less use for it. Intergrated flasher, so what? I would rather pay £25 for a stand alone flasher, plus seperate data cables. Especially since you still need your own software. What is the point or am I missing something here? |

Member: 1180 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | This will sound like I'm seeling this box !! I have a home-made box... works fine but I have no time to upgrade and add connectors or make modifications... this box can connect to 170 phone models !!! see how it's gonna cost you if you buy separate cables + it's better to have one interface than so many cables around... I own one so I know the advantages of the thing !!! |

Member: 4939 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Nice too hear of a good experience, as for the cables cost issue, I do not see why seperate data cables are going too cost more than the cables for this box, particularly if you purchase all at once you would get them at trade prices. Why would the cables on the interface box cost less than data cables? And would the difference justify the initial outlay? Still I'm glad you find yours useful. |

Member: 1180 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Let me explain something, dear MH: - You have 20 phone models to unlock. - You need 20 data cables to connect them if the connectors are différent, ex: Ericsson T1x and T2x do not have the same pinout or connector. You have a laptop. With this kind of box you have one single INTERFACE inside the box. The interface is powered by a 9V power supply pack. - what you need then is only the PLUGS or ADAPTERS which have no electronic interface inside, only empty connectors soldered according to the right pinout of the phone you want to unlock (with some exceptions). No need to have 20 feet of cable you have to plug and plug and look for the COM port under your desk.... what you gain is one single box which you can carefully place near you printer or on a shelf nearby, leave it connected to your desktop or laptop and whenever you want to unlock a phone all you have to do is pick up the right adapter, plug into the box and click unlock if you're lucky enough to have the right soft... And believe me it's a pleasure to work with this kind of box.... Did I change your life with these words Thanks [ 14 July 2001 14:22: Message edited 1 time, lastly by hadak1 ] |

Member: 1169 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 59 | I Purchased my BOX from WWW.gsmhacking.com... Paid for itself after 3 months...but i was wondering about purchasing the Ver 3 box from gsm-technology as it seems to have more cables and better compatabilities inc c30 & j5 ...I sent spear an e-mail asking about the newest connectors for the UBB and he told me that he'd pass the message onto the box maker...Still waiting reply.....If i dont get a reply..i will be purchasing the VER 3 box...I'll keep you all posted. |
