Help unlocking 688 GSM Ericsson - GSM-Forum

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I tried multiple programs including Saras workshop 1.7 but no luck. I am using an OEM data cable but it will not detect the phone.

I connect the phone cables with the phone powered off
I then click no in the workshop
I hold donw the NO key for a second and the phone powers up
10 seconds later I get an error saying "timeout no responce from phone"

12- +5v
and check your mail , progy with instuction
work for me several times

Thanks for the reply

The software you sent makes a connection to the phone unlike other programs I have tried. I followed the instructions but it does not work for this model. I am thinking its because its a cf688. I cannot find any references to this phone ever being unlocked

write new eeprom for that phone
change imei
write flash
shoul work 100%
P.S. soft end flash, eeproms you should find in i-net free

I am using an OEM serial cable. Could that be the problem? I tried a couple of flash pgrams but it will not detect the phone. Is there something i need to edit on this cable?

The phone is unlocked. I patched pin 7 and 12 from the OEM cable with a FBUS MBUS switch. The software now works
