The only things you need is a PC running WIN9x (NO Windows XP support), a flash cable and a little prog called ATR. You'll find atr_serv_50.exe atr_serv_52.exe atr_serv_53.exe atr_serv_53_bat.exe here. It's equal which one you choose. And now you need the newer flashfile for your phone. Which you will find here. |

Member: 1647 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | It's quite easy to read the codes of dates on old flashfiles: They are often named xxWyy like 00w03 which means the following: xx (in this example 00) is the year -> 2000 yy (in this example 03) is the week -> week 3 -> between jan 15th and jan 21th So the flashfile is given out between jan 15 and jan 21 2003. Other files are named xxyyzz like 990831 which has to read this way: 99 is the year (1999) 08 is the month (august) 31 is the day so a flashfile called t28_990831.r2a is the flashfile for T28 revision R2A given out on august 31th, 1999 The third way to recognize which is old and which is newer version is to look for the Rxy part of the name, which tells you more about the revision version. R1A is the first one, R1B is the second, later firmware version are named R2x or R4x. t28s 00w03.shx (week 3, 2000) t28_990831.r2a /revision R2A from 31. august 1999 t28s_00w26.zip (week 26, 2000) t28_01w07.zip (week 7, 2001) t28_in991022.zip (22. oktober 1999) t28_01w26.zip (week 26, 2001) Some more informations are sometime placed in the name of the file like this one: t28_r4be1.sbn firmare: t28 revision: R4B language: e1 -> Europe_1 Europe_1 should contains the following languages: Bulgarian(BG) Croatian(HR) Czech(CS) Danish(DA) Dutch(NL) English(EN) Estonian(ET) German(DE) Greek(EL) Finnish(FI) French(FR) Hungarian(HU) Italian(IT) Latvian(LV) Lithuanian(LT) Norwegian(NO) Portuguese(PT) Polish(PL) Romanian(RO) Russian(RU) Serbian(SR) Slovenian(SL) Slovakian(SK) Swedish(SV) Spanish(ES) Turkish(TR) Arabic(AR) Hebrew(IW) BTW. the last T28s firmware is revision R5C which should be the last from 2001. |

It's quite easy to find. Just look out for the file called: t28_01w26.zip . It is, like before mentioned, the t28 flashfile given out on the 26th week in 2001. Now it's up to you to take a calender and look, when is the 26th week? Yep, it's in june! Right?! | |

Member: 358202 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Does any of that software linked to work with the T18d specifically? I really badly need software for reading/flashing this phone! Please help before I have to resort to desoldering EEPROM chips to use a replacement phone! |
