Member: 11334 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | T20e Help I wish to unlock my T20e and was wondering whether the following cable would be appropriate (obviously its a t28 cable)? INCORRECT CABLE (I think, see my post further down for updated cable) http://www.e-tones.co.uk/images/schem/t28cable.jpg Do I then run AT2win by John Smith? (obtained from mobile.box.sk) and unlock the T20e via that straight away or do I need to upload a partial flash first? Also is there a phonelock reader that works with the T20e and has been tested by any1 in this forum? the links lead posted dont work As I would rather obtain the NCK from the phone via reading rather than writing and risking damaging the phone... ---------------------------------------------------------- My software version is (obtained via >*<<*<*): R3A007 prgCXC1122080 ---------------------------------------------------------- If I successfully unlock my phone I will write a tutorial and post it up here with all the files/schematics for all users of the forum Thx for putting up with my unlocking paranoia Last edited by XPimP; 05-09-2002 at 23:58. |

Member: 2721 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 23 | cable from T28 is working good with T20x. Software from John Smith too. But for unlock T20e (not T20s) you need a little trick. Connect phone without battery, press unlock and then connect battery to phone. Wait and is unlocked. For T20s you need connect phone with battery, press unlock, press power on on phone. This program resets phone code to default too. |

Member: 11334 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hmmm weird how it needs to be disconnected from battery.... Does the Varanius software work with the T20e and if so can I backup the flash incase something bad happens... I remember my GA628 having tamper protection does the T20e have this (my GA628 needed a hacked flash to fix it)? Also since I am making the cable without a proper connecter I will be using jumpers to hold it onto the phone!!! (i am crazy) I did this with my A1018s, GA628 and GF768 and all was good... But its gonna be a pain connecting the battery while holding it on!!! ************************************** Can some1 plz check the above cable is correct as I have found several pinouts and this is the one I think is correct from my GA628 experience.. Is there any other software or ways to do it without unconnecting the battery? ************************************** Is netmoniter on the T20e anygood and does the battery monitor display anything usefull? Like is it remaining time or percentage or just like 1/10??? Thx Last edited by XPimP; 04-29-2002 at 17:48. |

Member: 11334 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I have found that my first fears that the cable that I posted was incorrect are most likely true.... I believe the real ones are here (fig 2): CORRECT DATA CABLE http://xentrax.narod.ru/eng/320pinouts.html As u can see it uses pins 6,7,9,10,11 whereas the *fake?* one uses 7,8,9,10,11 Can some1 confirm this? cause I am about to solder this thing together Last edited by XPimP; 05-09-2002 at 23:59. |
