T28 World big problem pls help! - GSM-Forum

Hello,
I have problem with T28 world gsm from USA.

I unlocked it with ATR 5.3. Everything looked fine.
Now I put in a simcard it did not work.. but that was because it was other freq (USA 900-1900 here 900-1800 MHZ)
So I took a card which suppose to work good (works with 900 freq) but phone said 'geen toegang' which is dutch for:
'No Entrance'.
I though this can not be.. There went something wrong with unlocking. So I made back-up from flash and eeprom. And flashed it with other (normal T28, europe) flash file.
Now the phone turned on gave me: 0x74F00 in display and that was all the phone did

After that I flashed back-up back (+eeprom)
Now the phone went complete dead

It does not turn on anymore. Some programs do still communicate with it (like ATR 5.3)..
PLEASE can anybody help me?
Provide me with working flash? Maybe there went something wrong with reading back-up or something.

P.s the problem that the phone shows 'No entrance' is a problem more common then I thought. A friend of mine also had this problem with 2 T28's when he got this error he turned of his phone and then back on and it worked again for couple minutes.
So I think that problem is hardware???

The "No access" on T28 is a VERY wellknown problem on T28 series of Ericsson.

In 80 % of the phones I fixed I chnage as the first thing the IF module ( In the Service manula called N234 )

Change this Module and your phone will be working again.

Also you might want to take a look on some earlier post regarding this problem here and here for software related problems with T28W

Really usefull info! (I thought this prob was unique.. I was sooo wrong

)
The phone is now back to life with a T28s eeprom and T28s sbn flashfile.. (PPL FLASH WITH USPU 4.38 works 10000 times better then ATR)
Now my next problem is .. I can NOT get it unlocked

I tryed unlocking with saras workshop, atr 5.x and 2.2 DL versions, also with USPU.
But it keeps saying: 'insert correct card'
I already changed imei back to original (and of course after that I flashed with the T28s sbn file)
Who can help me further?!

ok I tryed everything..
uploaded lot's of eeproms tryed lots of flashfiles but nothing..
it just does NOT want to unlock

Also I followed abe's advise that eeprom must be newer the nflash otherwise all locks closed.. but that also did not work..
Does anyone know how to get it unlocked?
