T28 World. Doesnt Find Network. Need Help PLEASE read. - GSM-Forum

I have a Serial Cable. ATR 5.0 and up as soon as I open them close right away, im not sure if I am doing something wrong. And I CANT find the flash files for the life of me. I found them for the T28s but not T28w. If anyone is able to help please post or PM, I would be more then happy to paypal a small reward for help.

ATR doesn't work under XP (guessing that is your OS from the fault)..Lawd only knows where to find the T28 flashes now.But if i come across any..

This is probably really obvious so you already know it but I have had many instances of customers buying t28 world then complaining of no coverage, usually this is because they are trying to use a gsm 1800 sim (in the uk this is tmobile and orange) but this phone is not tri band it is dual band gsm 900 and 1900 so it doesnt work with an 1800 sim/network

Ya its windows xp but I have a windows 2000 PC downstairs that I will try it on.. Still need the flashes though lol

im on 1900. Same sim cards as before. Also have some 900mhz ones i tried. dont work either

Tried it on my windows 2000 server computer and got the same results. Will try it on my Windows 98 machine at work

Do I need drivers for the serial cable? It opened up fine on my Win 98 PC here at work. But it always times out. It says press NO for a short period. I do and nothing happens.

I assume I need drivers?

Its a J.E.B. Technology Serial Cable. What drivers can I use for this? Thanks in advance

on win 98, you dont need drivers. Just a simple chinese unlock cable.
It wont work on 2000 either

Hrmm What could be going wrong then? Think the cable itself can be bad?

After looking at my cable a little more closely it is missing a pin. I assume there should be a pin for every contact? there is one missing and there is a slot for it on the cable.
