T28 World no backlight / no keyboard light - GSM-Forum

Hi,

A clueless technician serviced my T28 World and now the backlight and keyboard light don't come up. He's scratching his head, so I am trying to find out by myself what would be the cause of this and how to make the backlights work again.
I'd appreciate a lot if you can explain this to me in simple terms.

hi
T28 has no LED, one of its screw connect its keyboard to the body of mainboard and if u remove this screw its light will be turned off. have u checked that ?

Thanks for your answer! Where is that screw located? I have the T28 mainboard image with me, but please remember I'm no technician. I need this information to clue someone else.

I've just spoke with webmoly directly. To who may concern: the screw is the bottom left one, connects keyboard light to the mainboard when you fasten it. Controls both keyboard and LCD light.
