For Sony Z5 unlock you need
1.Sony Z5 Logger
2.Sony Z5 Log Preparator
3.Sony Z5 Code Maker

Operating system: Windows 98

Procedure.....
Open Z5 Logger
Connect phone to cable (Phone must be powered ON)
Choose COM port (1/2)
Press "R" read
Program will read log file
Now prepare log to calculation
Open Sony Z5 Log Preparator
Find stored file called (z5.log). - if you face problem finding it - simply use windows search to locate this file.
Press prepare log
It will prepare log file and store that.
Name of file is: z5_ok.log
Now You need to calculate codes.
Open Z5 Code Maker
Press calculate and find z5_ok.log file
It will show unlock codes

Inputing the code to phone:
1) Disconnect the phone and switch it on,
2) Enter *#7465625*12*THE CODE GOES HERE#

If the phone is one which will unlock, It will say O.K and reboot. Then enter

3) *#7465625*22*CODE GOES HERE#

If the phone says Unsuccesful, leave it on do not touch anything else!
After 3 minutes the phone will return back to normal.

If phone show OK. Simlock removed.

If phone will not show ok and freeze - dont worry leave it as is and wait 3 minutes.

does this only work under windows 98? not under xp? the logger creates a log, but when i open the preparator, it always says "wrong log file"...
in the logfile itself the only thing showing is "Started at: Thu Jul 13 21:25:08 2006" and nothing else...

follow the steps explained here somewhere, use GL1 or GL3 software loader, you can find that somewhere around here i think... and then it's just a question of turning on the phone at the right time...
