or can i modify the eeprom to active it?

You could not. The original Ericsson battery has a smart circuit embedded in its shell that interfaces with the T28 firmware to show the battery endurance and talk time.

Compatible batteries do not have this smart circuit, that's why when you stick a charger in, the message "CHARGING ALIEN BATTERY" appears.

Thanks for your reply, but i thought you had misunderstood my meaning, i mean that i wanted to see more information of the battery, like the temp. of it ,the current of the phone consume,
and so on, also I know that there is a circuit in the phone, they may be a eeprom and battery calculator.
Now i had actived this menu, but some data I can't understand.
This menu is just like the channel info.
To edit the eeprom file of the phone can make it active.

Hello

You can use ATR software 5.0 and 5.3 too for this function :

Connect your handset to the unlock cable ;

select "channel menu" or "battery menu" ;

And then press "make selected jobs" ...

Press "no" key for short time and then try if the new menu appeared.

You just have to look the settings menu at least after master reset.

Now, you'll see the temp of your battery and others infos.
