Unlocker only works by RJ45 and Not by USB interface - GSM-Forum

HI ALL...
Since few days ago, my smart unlocker only unlocks those phones that can be unlocked by conecting on RJ45 (like C155, V180, C115, etc). But those ones required to be connected on USB interface (like Vxxx, C33x, C350, etc) always appears RED LED.

I'll apreciate all cooperation regarding this issue because I have not idea why this mal-function is happening.

Using a small clean toothbrush make sure the contacts on the phone are clean and free from dirt a lot of connection proplems are caused here. Try it and see does it work

I received brand new smart unlocker and it only work on rj45 never on usb, checked usb connector and is very clean. I believe the usb controler in the smart-unlocker is faulty.

freind it's problem form box , cabel is folty try contact you ressler to change cable or test by other usb cabel from other box from other freind

tried already other cable from smart-clip, works fine there, its problem in box not cable, thanks for your input.

Is correct. Problem is box, not cable. I have about of 10-15 usb cables and error is the same with all of them.
Note: This error began when I powered the box using normal alkaline battery.
That was the mistake because, earlier, i used regulated power input from digital power system and it worked perfect.

It will be better a comment by SC-TEam regarding this issue.

If the battery was not full it could cause Unlocker malfunction. We strictly recommend to use a stable power supply (9V, 450mA) in any case!..

Wow!!!. So, this product is a very very delicated on its powering !!!
Low voltage protections are very simple circuits that can be implemented on this boxes to protect them and avoid this problems !!!

And besides, it will be better not include battery connector becasus this box can work with it.

Any home made solution for theses customers ?
Why dont the smart Clip team use a half full battery to "damage" one smart unlocker and sort the solution out for their customers

mine was brand new never used, i dont even have battery, use 9 volt regulated power source, same for griffin and others, and usb never worked, i believe it is not 1/2 full battery problem.

I alson have this problem I used 9v battery and power supply adater 9v. but still getting mal-function, just RJ45 is not working. Using USB always red light, can't unlock.

Is there a way to fix it? Because I think warranty is over from my reseller www.unlockcellular.com
