Exclamation Battery LIFE questions - UB Team asking

Hello, nice people. I wish to say Thanks for this excelent tool of yours. I recently buy my first ( and hope a very large life one ) UB, and have to ASK ABOUT SOMETHING taht here, in south America, got hundreds of questions about: Baterry life.

There are 2 ways to use the box: with the Tansformer or without. If the last one choosed, u must "help" the box to get itīs voltage with the hone battery.

Donīt now wich oneīs the best choice. I used with the trafo. But it worryes me this LIFE question about the internal battery.

My question is: whatīs itīs life period? it can be changed? wich one itīs your best advice about how to use the box? WITH trafo, WHITOUT trafo?

This one can be very helpfull threat to know more about UB. Iīm worried about a friend of mine that hes UB life was 3 months... have another technician friend of mine that have one from 3 years ago and have no problems at all.

Can you help about this question? THANKS in advance!!!

battery life in box is 5-10 years depent on how long box is not connected to power supply.
No you can't change battery yourself becouse you delete data in HW part of box and box will be killed. bye

I think you are wrong in this case. As most users of this box know its usually btw 6-12 months. You may consider reading other posts regarding dead universal boxes for better explanation.

You must be one in a million or just a lucky guy. Most people are on their 3rd or 4th box now. I am on my 3rd now.
