DCT4-Direct V1.39beta - error "0x0108"

As the topic.

Box connects to the PC/Laptop OK, Power & Check are OK, phone is working OK & flashing to correct firmware with UFS with NO errors.

But EVERY TIME i try to Write patched IMEI i get this:

Trying to init com...Error: 0x0108

It's always happening at 10% - no matter what phone (tested on 8310, 6310, 5100, 5140, 3510, 3510i).

It was working OK when i got it, nothing changed on any of the PC's/Laptop's and doing the same on a CLEAN INSTALL with all files re-downloaded to make sure i've not got a corrupt file. Also does the same no matter what version of DCT4-Direct i use.

Any ideas ?????

Hi Dave,

Does that happen on every phone you try ? Can you try on another pc ?
No need to re-format or use clean install. Just move the folder to the other pc
and install the supplied driver (using manual install, not automatic).

It is possible that the new driver ufs is using to be reason for the problem. We are testing this.

Yup - every phone..... have 4 * 8310 and 6 or 7 * 6310i sitting here right now and it's the same on all of them.

UFS flashes the phones OK, all are unlocked & full factory settings done and then tested (and left on for a few mins) before they go near DCT4-Direct.

I always do a manual install for any drivers, had problems i the past with MSS-3 not picking up the correct drivers for the Moto's.

Do you know what the error code means ???? - if so can you post and i might be able to try some other things (i am a IT tech as well).

hi mate,

this will occur quite alot if ufs/jaf is installed on same pc/laptop....i have to uninstall my twister box, then connect dct4direct so that its drivers take pride of place

try pressing the power button repeatedly on the phone when doing operations, thats helped me loads


also, box needs win xp pro, with sp2 to run correctly!

Hi,

Yes i think this error is caused by some timeout on the USB. Maybe all these
troubles never appeared to us because we don't use other boxes with FTDI
chip.

Maybe for the next version we should use the UFS driver installed allready in
the system.

Will post if we have any results.

Update on this......

Finally the box would not install the drivers on ANY PC, so was for sure a hardware problem in the box.

Has been returned to the supplier and i'm waiting for the replacement to arrive today/tomorrow.

some time u can install ur driver manuel if u pc systeme dont want to accept it
really i have get ago some problemes like this but i have resulted directely by manuel installing

why the driver dont want install it?
ok here existed some conflikt with the ufs driver
erase saras driver and add pls the new dct4 driver to DCT4 direct folder
install it pls manualy and besure all will be ok
well now is to late for DAV but i will take all info in document file included the New driver for all member

check your charger. I was change my charger and my problems finish. Next problem is on 12% but I have problem on 15% now

what is this charger you are talking about? My box doesn't have any input for charger??

Existed some way here about resolving the Error.

1-regulator probleme that can be from faulty using as example or by transport
and after warrantly time evrybody can order some regulators from thier resseller .

2-the Win Xp systeme was in using by twister and dct4 direct in the same time ,..mean conflict probleme .

3- bios update have also big facture by using dct4-direct .

well all hardware equipment that are buy it from official reseller are in warrantly from 3-6month and that can be remplaced .

This dct4direct is unreliable, sometimes even when the phone is completely done after 20 tries, it says "contact service" when you turn it on.

completly done after 20 tries?
pls guys check you cable allway before using dct4-direct
somthing is wrrong when i hear after 20 time trying and nothing happend .
contact service depend an the phone it is also possible to solve this contact service probleme .

My 3510 always stops at 85% when re-starting asic...error.., so I just press write option again. After doing this about 20 times, it's finally done and says complete, counter updated. Then I turn phone on, it says " contact service" . You mentioned it's possible to fix, could you tell me how?. I just flash it using Twister, phone is ok but then I'm back to square one, Phone is still blocked. If there is someting wrong with the cable, it wouldn't be able to finish writing the firmware and restore old values, would it?. By the way, there is no other box or unlocking devices installed on this particular computer of mine, so it can't be conflict.
My 6310i has the same problem. You're the only person who actually replies. Please help. I have seen a lot people who have the same problem in a different forum but no one seems to know how to fix it.
