NTLDR is nissing after installing 2.0.5 (4)

Respected Sarasteam,

I was using Cloned HWK which was dead for unknown reason, so I had purchased original HWK with UFS3. As per the instructions given by my vendor, I installed requisted files in my laptop with vista ultimate, everything went fine but upon installing 2.0.5 (7) it halts at error message related to prefetch and reboots my laptop so I didn't installed it and everything worked fine on my laptop.

Then, I decided to installed it in my desktop with WinXP SP2 where the cloned installation exist. First I uninstalled sarassoft suite and then clean my prefetch folder. Then installed v2.0.5, 1, 2, 3 and when installing 4 it halts with Access Voilation Error and system was rebooted. Then,

NTLDR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart.

Formated my PC with Fresh installation of WinXP, I did the same thing. But again.

really it is very tough to install HWK suite as compared with JAF and Cruiser.

To all @sarassoft, Tell me how many times I have to install WinXP to make this software work. The cloned thing is in the garbage now and had no relation with my pc anymore. Everytime I install this I have to keep my finger cross for next reboot and error. Till today I installed WinXP 3 times.

Please do the needful and provide me a good solution.

I had the same probl ntldr is missing,but solved it with reinstalation of WinXP.Try delete C partition,than create it again,than quick format in NTFS file sistem and instal WinXP.I solved my probl by doing that@

You dont need to reinstall winxp because ntldr is missing.

1. Insert your XP Installtion disk, go to Recovery Console
2. Copy x:\i386\ntldr c:\
3. Copy x:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
4. bootcfg /scan
5. bootcfg /add
6. fixboot
7. fixmbr
8. exit

Install 2.0.6, note if you want to install on Vista, make sure UAC has been disabled first.

Thanks Odia for reply, I finally managed to install this by selecting compatibility option to Win98 and WinME for 1-4 and unchecked for 5-6 but can't install no. 7 anyways I love this soft and this was my first software purchased when I joined this field.

Also @all members those who have this problem, try the method which I had used it worked for me. Regarding the suggestion given by KrKr

I tried this first but it doesn't work. Again to all, please do not quick format the HDD while installing WinXP instead do a normal formatting and then, on a fresh WinXP installed, first install UFS and then any other software such as JAF, MT etc.

Thanks all for your replies. But to odia this is an humble request that please do not perform this kind of security which deletes the main booting files of WinXP. I know that this step is just to avoid cracked or cloned devices but for those who purchased orginal are suffering 'cause we have to loose the data in C drive as we had installed all the nokia flash files in it of around
10 GB+. and It takes time to install it again and again.

So please think over it. And be kind enough for genuine users.

-run SBM REPAIR (( he will check and repair your system))

........... now your pc is ok .......................................

We thought over it, which is why only the boot files where removed, we could have removed the whole partition, if you chose to format your HDD, then you chose to lose data, we did not make you format.

But on further thoughts even boot file deletion was removed from 2.0.6.

Thanks for not implementing deletion of partition. Further thanks for removing this protection in version2.0.6.

NTLDR is not restored by bootcfg, fixboot commands in recovery console. So an user has to format and reinstall the WinXP and this is because of NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM files deleted by sarassoft (May be you may have an alternate method to restore this). But anyways, as I said, I love this product and this was my start product of my carrier. One product which covers Samsung, Sony, Nokia and Motorola.

You dont have to reinstall WinXP. You have to copy those files from installation CD, or the place whrere you put backup before while you are in recovery console. But you also need to bootcfg and fixboot.

I know it is working like that becase I did it several times.
