Nokia 6151 BB5 Imei Changed

hi there i found this cellphone a few weeks back and unlocked it using BB5 unlock software then i inserted my card and no service cause the phone had been barred now i was playing around with HWK Dctxbb5 and i just checked for Info for phone..thought maybe i could play around and see what happens.....i choose dct3 and then Rebuild imei after that i got a new imei in the phone and now the phone is working with my card..the imei changed

And also found that phone is switching off after every 3 minutes.

Actually, you corrupted the IMEI.

Do you have tried making call longer than 2-3 mins?

Do you have tried to listen to some music for 2-3 mins?

Brothers, please don't underestimate others. some one can do which you can't do and try to understand that what my respectable thread starter want to tell all of us . no 100% accurate formulation in gsm world so please a senior member should be respected by all of us with out what is wrong and what is right

Eh?

Tis NOT a solution. You can screw imei on bb5 phones using ANY nokia device, and even some other non nokia devices.

It's not imei change, just imei RESET!

Actually no offecnce to you mate.. its good your trying.. however what has happened here is not that youve "changed" the imei.
The imei has become corrupted.
youll find u will need rpl to fix this.
