Arrow @Odia Bro! It could be a Solution for NU48F256 without Ext. VPP and Old Loader!

Hi Bro!

I was thinking about this issue and was also thinking if we don't need that Old Loader (1.33.1).

I am a little bit confused at this point:

> I agree that it may be a bug in Latest Loaders and bcoz Nokia uses Ext. VPP so they are not aware of this.
> But why we can write to those chips without erasing? And problem occurs only in MCU file.
> If problem was in writing regardless of erasing, then it was a different thing.

Possible fix with Latest Loaders:
Bro, I think if DCTxBB5 flash this chip in following way, we will not face any problem. And more, we will not see those unerased bytes too!

> Boot Phone.
> If Flash IC is NU48F256 (0089-8981), erase MCU and again Boot Phone.
> This time don't erase MCU area and directly start writing.
> Now continue with standard flashing process. (Erase and Flash PPM, Erase and Flash CNT etc.)

What you need to do EXTRA is to boot phone one more time.

I have tested it thats why I am posting....

I can check about PAUSE after Erasing MCU (you told me once that it may be cause behind this issue) if there is any possibility to increase that duration.

Please guide me if any here is wrong.

Awaiting your kind response.

Br,
Shadab Ahmad

Bro!

Nothing about Erase Files or anything. It is just about technique to flash NU48F256 with HWK without Ext. VPP and Old Loaders!

What is wrong with using the old loaders, why you have some concern over this?

Booting the phone adds flashing time over-head, we was even thinking about removing the boots between CMT APE UDA etc...

Odia.
