Need to solve this error!!! always hangs at this point [Wait Getting Data]

actually as per my observation your installer is ok... please read following:-

1. i installed fresh winxp sp2 in my old celeron compaq laptop. Then ufs installer (latest)
i.e. 2.3.0.4 . then attached my hwkufs device , then updated d drivers in c:\progfiles\sarasoft\usf\ufs usb drivers.

2. then i updated my dongle using bsnl broadband...

3. My dongle was updated successfully n in working.

4. Then i attached a 2nd manipulated dongle and that too was repaired aautomatically and successfully upgraded in workng condition.

Now problem...

1. Now when i try 2 update my dongle in my official desktop ( AMD Phonom-II quadcore , 2gb ram) , it gets hang on " getting data ".

2. I am not using broadband here but mobile data connection which used to update earlier.

3. i was trying to update earlier using 2.3.0.1 \ 2.3.0.2\ 2.3.0.4

I think the whole prob lies with usb drivers... coz i hav tested it many times that once u
hav used an older usb driver, no matter from where or what method u use to delete\uninstall that driver, it wont work untill\unless u install a fresh copy of windows...

So plz 1st we need a universal usb driver \ an installer that may automatically erase all older drivers, make the system clean n then install a fresh usb driver (updated) so that none faces so many probs.

Also note that maximum users of hwk ( especially in India ) are not highly literate regarding computers ( softwares n all). All they need is easy hassle free installation.

Also half users use mobile internet to update\ upgrade, so if your servers could support
slow 2g connections, then it would b still be nothing better than hwk ufs... as for me it is still d most reliable...

I think its problem with direct access to windows registry. I`ve compared my reg.backup from winXP and win7 and its different. Thats why its always wrong software. So, dear mr.Odia, fix your problem, please! Hwk software was always the best for us! :rolleyes:

We do not use direct access to registry, but via the windows API, registry data can be different between OS, even OSs on the same PC. As always we are looking into the issue and will fix ASAP.

Anyone experiencing the panel hanging on getting data, should try to use a different USB port on a different USB HUB if possible, again we are working to resolve this issue, but none of our test PCs have this issue, so it's proving very difficult to track down.

All panels hang up after disconnect buton
Control Panel hang up on checking server

If manually disconnect usb cable, everithing is ok and I can close panels.

Can you try attach a USB flash drive to box front USB port and see if the hang issue is gone.

yes. now , when the flashdisk is non stop connected to the front or rear usb port, box working correctly

sollution is surprising me

I think it is a half-measure, now everything works fine .I have one question, if will be carried out further work on the driver ,so box to work without pendrive ?

I dont know how, but when i attach a flash drive in my tornado, the panel doesn't hang anymore and it works. This is surprising. :confused:

But the panel should be updated as fast as possible because lot of users are in problem due to this.

Thank you for confirmation, was only a test we not expect this to be any type of resolution, at the moment we are unable to locate the issue, so we think is best to allow older drivers which do not give this hang issue, until we can find the problem and have the issue fixed, the drivers we use are from FTDI and out of our control.

Try this to updating your UFS Flash Box:
1. Do Check Box
2. Do Update Box
3. Every time UFS Panel Hang On Check Box Or Update Box, Try to Plug in and plug out FLASHDISK or Card reader or anythink you have to plug in to another unusable USB slot.
4. Hang isues will gone.
5. Makesure Server Online before updating your box
