VPL_Manager for HWK Users! - GSM-Forum

Hi All!

We often install large Data Packages and get hundreds of Variant List causing HWK Module to get slow in beginning while checking Info or Flashing.

These VPL files are parsed everytime we select a product from Product List.

It also makes it troublesome to select your desired Variant from a long list.

On the otherside, you waste HDD space by preserving Flashing files for the Variants you never use.

So I have make this tiny tool to list all available variants and let you select which Variant you want to keep and delete all other useless variants.

It will make VPL parsing in DCTxBB5 faster and also will save your HDD space by deleting unwanted flash files.

Sounds like a good stuff but shows "runtime error"

Can you please post screenshot here or Runtime Error Number?

This is build using VB6 and should not give any error if used on XP or later.

Actually it reads Base Path in SarasSoft registry section to get Products folder.

It is working fine but if I get adequate information regarding error, I can fix them too.

Where you have installed Flash Files eg. C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products etc. ?

i installed flash files ( C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products ) but when i run the vpl manager I'm get this error : Run-time error '76': path not found.

It should run quite fine if you have installed HWK Suite.

I could manage to let users select Package Folder but unfortunately I wrote it for HWK Users Only.

Here is Bug_Fixed version.

- If unable to locate Base Path of HWK Suite, will prompt with message instead of Runtime Error : 76.
- Now you have option to delete only VPL files. But it will leave flash files intact so no HDD space will be made free.

could u also make it so it will also delete .dcp and _signature files? This is really great soft to arrange perfect set of nokia files. And also a refresh button will be nice. Thanks
