About PCMCIA Parallel Port cards - GSM-Forum

Hi people,
i have here a laptop without lpt1 port,
i buyed 1 pcmcia to lpt port name=EX-1356
here is specifications,

after install xp can see it as lpt port (working fine)
i can change ports from lpt1 to lpt2 and lpt3,
but sagdd box dont see any box on lpt1.
in hardware manager when i look to the i/o range adress it is not 0X378 like standart lpt1 adress, it is different. like something FEDF
is this the problem??? because i can not change the irq adress

is there any change that i can use this with sagddbox ,
please help me out

Really USB_to_LPT cables, emulate printer port to OS (via suitable drivers),
which make it not fully "IEEE 1284 Compliant SPP, EPP and ECP Parallel Port".

I have PCMCIA-LPT card from QUATECH , Model SPP100 it workes for me with SAGDD , Smart Clip(only compatible mode) ,Sagmaster and all other LPT dongles

It can use real IRQ and Port adress such 0378h ,but you have to make some changes in INI file ,manuel ,you can change adress range from 0480-FFFF to

0278-all what you whant ,you have only to see ,that this resourses doesn't make a problemm with another devices (adress and IRQ) from your Laptop

Please make it Sticky , i don't whant to write it again

i buyed too PCMCIA-LPT card from QUANTECH ,
and worked fine

Sagdd is for Sagem handsets while Smart-Clip is for Motorola,Sendo and few sony ericsson handsets like Jxx series

what i am looking is related to topic.
usb to lpt adopter or pcmcia cards which works for both tools.

how to make these changes manually in ini file?

anyone can tell me how to install drivers for new 3in1 cables,always lpt1 printer port appears after i install the drivers then when i insert cables they shows as unknown device,i cant bring them to work as a normal usb port.

Your question is in wrong place..there we talk about PCMCIA parallel port adapters!

Anyway, download drivers (-IO Cable-PL-2303HX-Drivers-Generic-wd_pl2303_v20019v2028.zip) file and install it first.
Plug Cable in PC USB port and wait until OS enumerate it successfully as COM N !
Start latest SagDD and select COM N in 'Unlocking Device' option box.

sorry for the wrong thread.i did exatly like u describe before,but like i sayd soon the instal drivers some third non exsisting device get in staled,after i plug 3in1 cables they commes as unknown device,i belive could be an conflict betwen different devices i got already instaled on pc.

so, any real solution for new pc without lpt port. really intersting if sagDD team works on that.
PS: most new pc/laptop generation have no parallel/com ports.

can you read ? for a long rime ago , i have written ,that solution is PCMCIA or EXPRESSCARD ------LPT converter , so , it doesn't a problemm at all
