i have credits so all is fine and good internet connection, but it says press power and then it analyis's phone upto about 80% and then i get bootloader failed.

It`s your first attempt to unlock LoCosto based Sagem phone.
You have got cable problem.
Read pdf file about USB to COM unlocking device.

Check SagemDD settings and USB Data cable.
Unlocking my300C with SagemDD is easy and safe.

1000% cable problem.
Test your USB data cable or USB to COM convertor with SagemTools (described here many times)

Did you read "Unlocking with USB DATA Cable.pdf"?
Also check cable with SagemTools.
If SagemTools not see phone(not read info) just replace Rx and Tx .
We heard that some USB data cables have replaceded Rx, Tx.

read pdf looks straight forward. dont have sagem tools. What i dont get is that if cable is faulty why does phone start analysing

just done it with vodafone 226 rj45 cable using crusier 4 in 1 ftdi cable and ps2 to rj45 converter

So, you have got cable problem!

SagemTools is free soft which you can download from support area (Utilitys).
Check your 5/1 cable. I think you must replace Tx and Rx in my300C connector.
