Alcatel Pixi 3 4013D - SD card advise needed

Can anyone suggest an SD card compatible with this model?

As of now, I tried three: first a 32 GB Transcend, then I decided it faulty and got it replaced (same effect), then an 8 GB Kingston. The symptoms are always the same: phone randomly freezes, reboots, loses apps installed on the SD card. Without a card it works fine.

Tried all kinds of formatting, cleaning the slot contacts, etc. No go.

It looks like hardware malfunction, may be sdcard slot is dirty,
or phone has been liquid damaged.

Try to find "prehistoric" 2GB MicroSD card, and try with it,
if still the same, then it's 100% hardware issue.

I recommend you visiting some nearby phone repair shop,
and suggesting them to open your phone and check for what I mentioned here,
and if was dirty/liquid damage, to clean it carefully, it should work.

Ancient SD card sounds like a plan, thanks. Should it be 2 GB strict or maybe 4 GB would do? In other words, what characteristics I am looking for, exactly - pre-SDHC class, low speed rating?

Doesn't matter the capacity, just non-sdhc card, to check whats the problem.
