Alcatel 5045X UK/US Firmware Hi there, could any one provide a generic uk/us firmware for above mentioned phone. It's important for the phone to boot up with an english language. 5045x-2AE8GB1 Tia |

- You will need just scatter + preloader files to load into SPFT - In spft, read ProInfo partition, start addr.: 0x800000 , length: 0x300000 - Edit pro info, write it back to phone, put UK retail pid : 5045X-2AALGB1 or 5045Y-2AALGB1 - all about proInfo editing is already in sticky thread - after done, write it back to phone, in SPFT press CTRL+ALT+V, Window, write memory - load edited file and enter just start address: 0x800000 - after finished, use factory updater from sticky thread. - install and follow the instructions. - PAY ATTENTION TO YELLOW MARKED LINES ! - MAKE FULL BACKUP OF DEVICE BEFORE PLAYING ! (make full readback in SPFT from address: 0x0 , length: 0x9e800000) - IF You are too lazy to edit proinfo, use attached one, with ALGB1 pid, already edited. - IF you don't want to download full rom files, scatter+preloader is in same attached archive. b.r. That's very helpful, but unfortunatelly, I don't have a chance to try it. Before me, someone else played with the phone and right now, the phone doesn't show IMEI when it has stock firmware (also recovery) but shows imei only when it has custom recovery. Any ideas how to fix it? I know it's a little bit of an off top, but that's the main problem right now for me. Thanks *** MERGED Post: Updater fixed an IMEI problem as well. Worked like a charm. Thank You very much. |
So, you wrote attached ProInfo and Mobile Upgrade did the rest of the job, right ? about IMEI ... Alcatel MTK phones have OTP imei, which is, after flashing, re-created into NVRAM section, so it cannot be lost in any way. ... and strange thing, I just received one phone for service, 5045X. If you didn't fix it yet ... I would have stock rom for it right now ... :D b.r. Alex |
Hopefuly the 5045X you've got is not the one I "fixed" ^^ Could You elaborate on OTP Imei? I found out that OTP stands for One Time Password, but I am not sure how that applies to the IMEI that is written on NVRAM section. Just out of curiosity. |
OTP stands for One-Time Programmable, section which is programmed in phone production, and cant be edited. When you erase nvram, and do full flash afterwards, device itself will read that otp zone, and re-create all vital baseband and imei information and make "clean" and working nvram partition. B.r.
