From my personal experience, regarding mtk phones:
Best thing you can do, with stock, unbranded rom is,
Root your phone, use root uninstaller pro (android app),
And remove all unneeded apps and services from phone.

Any 1gb ram phone can be pretty fast this way,
Either dual or quad core.

And of course, avoid installing stupid facebbok app,
Fb messenger, skype, and similiar "crapware" appz,
That have dozen processes in background, and eating ram.

P.s. mtk phones have most close aosp android,
No need for some ultra special custom roms.

I found a ROM called slim cat and it's the best one around ive seen. It works with gravity box and xblast but has no theme support

My idol 6040D not power on. When i connect to pc not detect. I have white led only up the phone and not charge.
I hold vol-/vol+ and connect to pc nothing.
There are anyways to flash my phone or forcing to boot.

Problem solved. Coaxial cable is not connected.

Please friends,
Does anyone have full flash file sp flash for Alcatel Idol x 6040x model or full flash for TCL S950 ?
Phone is always stuck on boot logo or freeze on another roms.I tried many roms.Best was the TCL S950 but it was not complete and apps is all crashing.

Thank you guys for the great information provided.

i manage to fix my 6040A Alcatel. after have read on many forums about this phone hanging on chrging mode. i decide to ripped it apart and replace battery.

replacing battery work for me, you can get battery on ebay. Device Is on on full charging state.
