hi all can anyone here help me to flash idol x i have a problem with upgrade tool always said : remove battery and replug cable and error with sp flashtool 3144
plz any one help thanks a lot

driver problem. reinstall drivers, or try other pc.

okay, download this stuff :
- SPFlashTools MOD + usb drivers
- Flash File, Russian, ot-6040D v4.2.x
- Flash File 6040D, Russian, 6040D V4.2.x
- PID Changer for 6040x

Yandex Disk have some file downloading limit, you can download 2 files as I remember,
so don't stop downloads, or you will need to restart your router to get new ip address.

now, after you unpacked files ...

- start SPFlashTools
- go to folder where you unpacked flash file ALCATEL-ONE-TOUCH-6040D_13.10.12
- select MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
- in middle window, click on custpack - and select manually custpack.img
- finally press DOWNLOAD button
- connect phone to cable
- if you have issues connecting, press volume UP, and connect cable while holding it

SPFlashTool will start download, and hopefully, when finished, you will have phone,
that power on ...
if it doesnt power on, hold power on button longer
if it power on but have boot-loop (stays on logo or not finishes booting),
go to recovery menu (vol UP + power on, release power on after 3-4 secs.),
and do reset/wipe user data / cache partition.

now ... in case you have phone that is working, and you need to restore it back to stock
(the same operator it was before, same languages etc.),
you will need to use last file - 6040D_Change_Pro_info

short how-to :
- get some hex-editor (or you can try with notepad++, should work),
- open with it file named "pro_info"
- find this : 6040D-2EMSRU1
- change it to your original PID (ie: 6040D-2AS7RS1 = Serbia MTS, 6040D-2EALHR1 = Croatia etc.)
- open up SPFlashTool MOD, scatter-loading,
- go to folder where you unpacked "6040D_Change_Pro_info",
- load "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt",
- in middle window, click on PRO_INFO, and select file from folder - "pro_info"
- press DOWNLOAD, connect cable to powered off phone, ignore warning messages

after finished, phone will work same as before, BUT - official upgrade tool,
will see it as original one, as it was before, and will load up original flash file.

if it says that there is no higher version and don't want to upgrade,
only thing to do is flash another/edited pro_info and try OTU updater.

that's it.

if you are getting BROM ERROR: S_DA_EMMC_FLASH_NOT_FOUND (3144), there are few possibilities :
- Try with some latest version of spflashtools, or THIS one
- check if download agent is correctly selected (MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin)
- check if USB Download mode is selected
- try downloading WITHOUT preloader file
- finally, try other modes on phone (power+ volume down) etc.

if all above gives same error ... I'm sorry, but EMMC (NAND) is probably dead

MTK Phones don't like Xposed framework, that's known fact.

You can try with TCT S950 rom, and later, if needed
change operator frequency (band) from engineering menu.

Rom #1 - Download HERE (Full Backup)

But ... first you should try with custom roms :

If after custom / stock phone locked - use THIS (for cwm/twrp)

Custom recovery should be flashed with SPFT.
