- Download TWRP (and CWM) recovery - HERE - Download TWRP backup of stock rom - HERE Unpack, start SPFT, load scatter - MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt Manually select boot and recovery images (boot.img and TWRP_recovery.img) from same folder where scatter file, Press download, ignore error, connect powered off phone to cable, wait to finish flashing. Unpack twrp backup to micro-SDCard, put it to phone, start phone into recovery mode (volume up + power on - hold volume up), go to backup/restore menu, and restore backup. OR ... SPFlashTool Russian ROM - HERE (Use only if first method doesn't work) ALWAYS make reset from recovery menu (either stock or custom recovery). OR ... if previous ROM's half-worked (bootlop, not fully booting up), use pro_info files from sticky thread, flash to phone and use Alcatel Online Updater tool (OTU), it will make 100% working phone. (you need to to use posted pro_info, if needed - edit PID and flash). b.r. Alex Last edited by Brka; 03-23-2015 at 23:04. Reason: changed some links

Member: 2475055 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Hi, thanks for posting the guide, last year my phone would not boot up so using the TWRP method from this guide and it would fix the phone, simply restore from SD card, I had to do this around once a month for some reason as the phone would often freeze when rebooting. However today I tried using the TWRP method, and the phone would still not boot up, it just freezes on the logo, tried factory reset from the TWRP menu. So, I tried flashing the whole ROM from SP flash, and it would flash after a few attempts. It would still freeze on boot, so I tried flashing a modified pro_info file, and this would trick One Touch Update into working, and after an hour it said it was finished. However it still freezes on boot, even 10 mins after powering on it shows the alcatelonetouch logo. Is there anything else I can try? Maybe a full format or would this make things worse? Thanks |

Member: 2475055 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Hi, do you have a mirror for the file? I cannot download it. I've tried flashing the CRO file from the previous post and I get the following error: "BROM ERROR : S_DA_UPDATE_BOOTLOADER_EXIST_MAGIC_NOT_MATCHED (3145)" It won't let me upload a screenshot as I have less than 10 posts tho I'm using the latest SP flash tool, should I try an older one? Member: 2475055 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | After some trial and error I have managed to get my 4030x to boot, it's only just booted so I don't know how stable it is yet. This worked for me, it may work for you if you get a bootloop, if the phone won't boot you've for nothing to lose Step 1) Install the modded pro_info file using SP flash, so that One touch updater wants to update your phone. I used v 2.8.0 of OTU. Get it downloading the files then go to step 2 2) While OTU is doing it's thing, downloading the files, etc. Pull the USB cord, and fire up SP flash. 3) Load up the CRO rom posted above. Swap out the recovery file for the TWRP one from bRkA. 4) Add the custpack file (from the CRO files) 5) Download the Russian rom also, and add the mobile_info file from it into SP Flash. 6) Format 7) Flash, any errors means you may need to do a full format including the bootloader. You need to use a different USB port to the one OTU used to detect the phone, otherwise you get a COM port error 8) Boot into TWRP recovery and see if all the paritions mount, apart from SD-ext. Check the mount menu, if any fail to mount then go back a few steps, try SP again. It freezes if partitions don't mount, if you want to be sure try wiping the partitions and see if you get anything like: I:Can't probe device /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 E:Unable to mount '/mobile_info' I:Actual block device: '/dev/block/mmcblk0p4', current file system: 'ext4' Then go back and try SP flash again 9) If all partitions mount shut down phone and pull battery. 10) Hopefully OTU has finished downloading by now. Use OTU to put it all back to stock, and if all has worked then your phone will boot. Be patient. It will probably take 5 minutes for the first boot. 11) Install Framaroot, TWRP, etc. and enjoy a phone that has risen again like a phoenix from the flames. Thanks to everyone in this thread btw, my phone would still be be dead if this thread did not exist. Last edited by HypnoToad; 03-27-2016 at 21:33. |

Member: 2551727 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Some possibly very usefull info: Problem: ROM FULLY (inc. PRELOADER and DSP_BL) formated with SP Flash tool, phone (4030x) fully bricked. No TWPR, phone doesnt turn on or enter recovery mode. Tried solutions: Alcatel OTU (S) version > result: you've selected wwrong model... message > FAIL SP Flash tool > After trying to flash all the versions of stock rom (all ended before started with various error messages, most commonly S_DA_NAND... or S_DA_DRAM...) > FAIL So basiclly nothing worked. Then I found this (sorry, can't put link yet since I have not posted 10 posts (???) search google for mobileflashtool dot com sugar-mtk-tool) and used tool there aviable for download (SUGAR MTK_SP V2.0.2). Installed, started the program (in zip file there is a username and password info) and selected my phone model (WORKS WITH MANY OTHER PHONES), pressed upgrade, connected phone (with no battery inside) and afted some time, VIOLA!, phone flashed, disconnected the phone, put the battery in, and tried to power it up. SUCCESS! Basiclly works like Alcatel OTU S but works if whole rom is wiped, as OTU S tries to read data from phone to know should it upgrade and is it the right model. JUST BE SURE THAT YOU'VE selected right model. Hope this helps someone. Wasted too much time using other tools with no results and googling for other solutions refered me to volcano box like sotutions that require specialized (and paid) hardware. Member: 2475055 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | My phone is bootlooping again, I tried using 'Magic TWRP installer' but on the first reboot it bootlooped for some reason, I think I may try the SP Flash method of installing TWRP next time, or maybe just keep the stock recovery. Hopefully I'll be able to fix it again, it seems something is wrong with the partition table as it doesn't boot even after running OTU. I may be able to borrow a working 4030x and get a complete backup of it including the USRDATA and CACHE partitions which may or may not fix it. If anyone has a backup which includes these partitions they could upload, it would be appreaciated. Quote:
Thanks, I'll give Sugar MTK a go, right now I'm using OTU which is working, but has to download the ROM from the server each and every time I flash the phone is a real pain. I'm running OTU on 2 PC's which helps a little, so when both PC's give the same error I know it's an issue with the phone, and not the PC.

Member: 2551727 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Extremly rarely that would be a pc problem, perhaps driver problem. So no need for more pc's (from my point of view) if OS is the same. Please, edit my post, I saw later many grammar errors, and if you want, post a full step-by-step guide. It really works. Especially if your phone (Alcatel and some others) ain't recognized or is recognized as MediaTek Usb Port & keeps connecting & reconnecting all the time. P.S: Above program also has embedded driver, so install it. Last edited by Brka; 03-28-2016 at 21:31. Reason: removed non-english posting parts |

There are plenty of repair shops and service centers, intended to give help to users with their broken phones, they have to live out of their work, so respect it, or, as I like to say - take my help or leave it as is. b.r.
