You should be informed about that, before playing with phone. Anyway, you can try and see if phone enters fastboot, and if that's the case - you are lucky, maybe it can be recovered. So try this ... - Download recovery and files - HERE - Download driver files - HERE - unpack it and install it - Unpack to root hard drive - Get into folder, open commend prompt (right mouse click + shift - open command window here / win7 only) - Hold volume down button and insert usb cable, new device should appear - if you are lucky - Type into command prompt : fastboot -i 0x1bbb devices - If there is something like : a409dc4d fastboot (letters and numbers can differ) - then yo uare lucky - Go to command prompt, type : fastboot -i 0x1bbb flash recovery image-new.img - Type in command prompt : fastboot -i 0x1bbb boot image-new.img At this point .... you should be in recovery, if everything is okay. From that point ... you can install new rom. You can put rom files onto micro-SD card, and load them from recovery, under "install zip" menu (install zip from SDCARD). now ... ROM's : - Official rom v5 Russian - HERE - Official rom (unpack to sdcard, restore from backup/restore in cwm) - HERE - Official rom v01 RU - HERE - Modded Stock rom v03 - HERE try ... and see if it works for you. of course, post results, and use thanks button if worked. p.s. From point of working phone - there is a mod, that allows to change PID, so later you can use OTU updater, if needed. p.s.2 Those roms are for 5042D (dual-sim) model, but hardware is identical, so after flashing it will show another sim (which is obviously non-functional). b.r. Member: 163 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7,778 | In recovery, do wipe data/cache, from mounts and storage, try format sdcard0, After try mount usb storage. Phone should be visible as usb removable disk. If that dont help, you can try installing rom via adb sideload, Check under install zip menu, activate sideload, And push rom from adb command "adb sideload rom-name.zip B.r. Alex |

Member: 163 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7,778 | Play with recovery, that's your best chance. I don't have such phone so I can check what you wrote. format sdcard as fat or fat32, use 2Gb non-sdHC cards, etc, etc. also, try when powering on to hold volume up button, someone reported that with that is visible as removable drive. as they said : "On some phones update.zip be copied to the internal memory and put through a combination of buttons Power + VolumeUP" Whatever you do - don't format boot and recovery. b.r. Member: 163 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7,778 | See if you have adb access, root access, from recovery. If yes, you can dump partitions, should be /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 , Pro_info partition, so you can edit it and write it back to phone, To trick otu updater to start updating it. B.r. adb devices if yes ... install SUperSU (root), or try SU command (should display # = root) : dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 of=/sdcard/d.img to read image ... then copy it to PC, search "5042", you will see PID ... edit it, and write back via this command : dd if=/sdcard/d.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 all of that ... if you have ADB access through recovery. if not ... I dunno. PID's : Code: 5042X-2[X=D,S]PMPT3 5042X-2[X=D,Q,S]TLCZ1 5042X-2[X=B,D,Q,S]ALAP1 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGFR3 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGES3 <-- this should be your original pid. 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGRO3 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGRE3 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGPL3 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGSK3 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGFA1 5042X-2[X=D,S]TBSK1 5042X-2[X=D,S]TBMK1 5042X-2[X=D,Q,S]TBHU1 5042X-2[X=D,S]TBCZ1 5042X-2[X=D,S]TBGR1 5042X-2[X=D,S]TBNL1 5042X-2[X=D,S]TBPL1 5042X-2[X=D,S]ALGB1 5042X-2[X=D,S]RGFR3 Alex | |

Member: 163 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7,778 | One small ADD-on ... Since I have my personal ot-6016x, which is also Qualcomm (Snapdragon 200, msm8610), I just checked my partitions, and pulled via adb first 19 of them (mmcblk0p1 to mmcblk0p19), But I couldn't find which one is pro_info (actually it's not called pro_info on QUALCOMM) in my case it looks like this : Code: mmcblk0p1 = FAT partition mmcblk0p2 = unknown (to me) mmcblk0p3 = unknown (to me) mmcblk0p4 = empty mmcblk0p5 = looks like preloader -uboot.img on MTK mmcblk0p6 = unknown mmcblk0p7 = bootloader (boot.img) mmcblk0p8 = unknown mmcblk0p9 = empty mmcblk0p10 = EFS1 mmcblk0p11 = EFS2 mmcblk0p12 = IMGEFS (???) mmcblk0p13 = empty mmcblk0p14 = empty mmcblk0p15 = NVM mmcblk0p16 = pro_info mmcblk0p17 = mobile_info mmcblk0p18 = SPLASH (logo) etc. I issued a command from ADB: ls -al /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name And it listed partitions by name and also which one is mapped to which mmcblk0pXX, so - pro_info is mapped as "traceability" in my case, : traceability -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p16 so ... if you were able to dump the block from adb shell, dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p16.img after use command from ADB, not adb shell, to download to pc: adb pull =/sdcard/mmcblk0p16.img c:\ (will download it to hdd root c:\ ) after that ... edit PID, and push it back to internal storage via adb command : adb push c:\mmcblk0p16.img /sdcard/mmcblk0p16edit.img and replace current in phone via adb shell (type su after adb shell command) dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p16edit.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 after that ... use OTU updater, if pid allows updating, OTU will start, and after finish, you will have working phone. b.r.
