What is the exact problem with the phone ? p.s. Phone is Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 CPU, So there are no standard / public flashing tools for it. However, there is custom TWRP recovery for that model, and modified stock rom, which can be flashed with TWRP via sdcard. Link for TWRP installer - HERE Link for modified stock rom **** Link expired - NEW LINK in post #15 How to flash TWRP : - Power off the phone - Hold Volume Down + Power - Connect phone to PC with usb cable - on pc, unpack 5050x_TWRP_recovery.7z, - right-click on empty space in folder, "open command prompt here" - test if recovery is booting normally, type command : fastboot -i 0x1bbb boot recovery.img - if all ok, you can restart to fastboot and permanently flash via command : fastboot -i 0x1bbb flash recovery recovery.img How to install ROM : - prepare micro-SD Card, - Unpack files from downloaded second link I posted, - path should look like this : \TWRP\BACKUPS\8c1b6676\1970-01-02--13-07-54 JLS36C\ - in that last folder, there should be 5 files from rar archive - put micro-SD Card into phone, - power on phone while holding VOLUME UP, twrp recovery should start - go to backup/restore menu, there should be shown backup named "1970-01-02--13-07-54 JLS36C" - restore it, and after done make wipe data / cache. that's it. b.r. Alex

so, there should be folder on sdcard root "TWRP", under it "8c1b6676" and under it "1970-01-02--13-07-54 JLS36C" and in that folder files ... b.r. Alex

Phone is Qualcomm CPU, no public flasher available, so best chance is OTU Updater. b.r. Alex

Member: 2683831 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi All, Trying to fix a 5050x for a kid in my block whose phone had hung on the boot after a virus infection and he tried to factory reset... Thought I'd try installing the ROM anew, so... followed the instructions #3 to the letter (especially about the folders and the names but the restore option does not see file.... What am I doing wrong... Here's what I did... 1. Installed the TWRM as per instructions... 2. Downloaded the zip file for the installer 3. unzipped the folder 4. plugged in the sdcard into the comp and created the folder TWRM and the sub folders as per instructions... 5. put the sd card back into phone and go into recovery... BUT ... I see no file... Please help... |

Member: 163 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7,785 | First, be sure that phone can detect memory card (sdcard). Then, Put empty card into phone, and make BACKUP from TWRP recovery. After finished, read it in PC card reader, and check folder structure. Then, copy/paste backup to pc, and delete those files. After that, unpack that downloaded backup, and put files into folder, which you emptied before. Put card back in phone, restart TWRP, to re-initilaise card, and go to restore option, select sd-card, it will show backup, and just restore it. After finished, make wipe data/cache (factory reset), and just reboot phone from menu. Be patient for first start, it can take some time. Hopefully all will be okay after that. b.r. Alex

I think something else is wrong... I did EXACTLY as you said now... and the backup created the folder structure and I could see all the files of the backup in the computer and File Manager of TWRP... but in the TWRP restore I still do not see any restore files/packages... regards | |
