OT-8050g firmware request

Hi everybody!

I tried to root ot-8050g with kingo root and went ok, when reestarted phone it keeps on alcatel one touch - smart move screen and wont pass, I tried doing hard reset but still the same so I was looking for the mobile upgrade but cant find one that works for this model, and I'm requesting any flashable rom to recover this phone.

Looks like phone is MTK CPU, and on many sites they state it's Qualcomm ... strange.

Will try to find some firmware ... be patient.

Already tried that OTU updater and did not worked, there is no 8050g model.

Make full ROM_0 backup before playing with this firmware.

First try to flash only system.img, see if that will revive phone, later try system+custpack,
and at the very end, whole firmware.

p.s. DONT CRY about "DEAD PHONE" or something ... i wrote that you should make backup.
With that backup you can always return phone in previous condition.
For making backup (Memory Read) from SPFT, use scatter file from the ROM i posted.

Post results, did phone powered up, which languages have inside, etc.


Download links will be available after testing of this rom.

do you have good luck bc i make the same thing whit kingo and the phone dosent respond so i search for all the place and i dont get anny lucky

So far I backed up Rom_0, then flashed system.img and still the same.
Then I flashed system + custpack and phone powered on, it opened a test menu, I just closed it and imei is ok, it has a big list of languajes, touch woking ok, Signal ok, wifi ok, bluetooth ok, audio ok, mic ok, etc the only thing I can tell wrong is the image being displayed like in a zoom mode, I'll proced to flash whole flash and post results!.

Flull flash on SPFT went ok, no error displayed while flashing. Now the phone power on with a black screen and it sound the boot audio, I tried to enter recovery but same, black screen.

Ok, post original PID of the phone, i'll see if i can get complete flash.

In the meantime, restore full backup.

Testing of 2nd. Rom provided by BrKa:

The phone is working 100% correctly, signal, imei, wi-fi, bluetooth, touch, image, not problems at all, I assume that coming back to original Rom for PID did the job.

Special thanks to BrKa for staying in touch and provide correct Rom file.

PS1. I'd like to add that to root don´t use kingo root pc app, after I flashed with rom provided by Brka, I instead used the king root app and it did the work correctly, I think this should apply to new version alcatel phones.

PS2. Service with unlock tool is possible but always keep in mind there is some risk, be carefull and when servicing a new model phone do a Rom_0 backup so you can roll back any software failure to its original state.

ok you said the 2nd rom worked.....where is the download link for this rom??
also the 8050g I have has lollipop but the 4g-version runs marshmallow...how can we upgrade (if possible) to marshmallow?/

Download - ot-8050G 2ATLMX2 - Mexico ROM

If there is no OTA Update from menu - then ... no updates available.

Just write back full rom backup that you previously made,
before playing with phone.

Or ... if you have spare time, TeamViewer and SKype,
we can try repair it on Monday evening, gmt+2 EU time, Write me PM if interested.
