Member: 1267940 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | The OTA says that i have the latest version, but the portuguese vodafone support say's that the latest version is "290FFN1" and i asked on 2 different foruns what is the software versions on their devices and all are using the "110FFN1". This must be "special update", but my warranty is gone... This is frustrating and i'm going to use the alcatel S7 firmware on my device. |

You can all have same mac addresses, and untill you all guys meet at same place, it will work normal, because first gateway/rooter loose src mac address. All that is visible outside router is router's wan mac. Regarding v985n ... I dont understand why all of you are tied to branded vodfone firmwares, When you can make your phones into regular 7045 models. I waited the day when cwm recovery was out for my 6016x, And first day it came out, i put some unbranded rom + root, Deleted over 500mb of crap from system, and i was happy. And btw, i am very sure that regular 7045 have latest possible updates, And less bugs than any branded firmware. I already offered some latest firmwares, but hey, you are too much Reading other forums, and want some 300xxxx update... I cant help with that. Factory versions naming scheme is different Than what you seez and i dobt have time investigating Which version is which. B.r. Alex

Member: 2383877 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | After googling I found that some users of other models have the same problem. It seams that on first boot a scan probe the hardware to get MACs and write on a config file. If the file already exists, it's not rewriten. If two users flash a ROM where that file exists, both get same MAC. Hi Brka I agree with you regarding 7045. I what to drop vdf ROM. But MAC address is not irrelevant. I have several work colleagues that work on same office. Two of us flashed 7045 using sp flash tool and we got the same MACs. Trying to send files to each other over BT was impossible even after renaming our BT device name. We then try to send to a different phone and it worked. WiFi was having problems too but we thought that was due to signal strength. Cheers Last edited by Brka; 04-27-2015 at 18:33. Reason: consolidating space |

Member: 1267940 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Results... if i am using the alcatel rom i canīt recover from vodafone backup. puts the phone in bootloop. Same result using the vodafone rom and using the alcatel recovery. The alcatel recovery is 01004 and not 01005 like you mentioned... i am waiting for your backup.... Member: 2383877 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hmm... why are you after VDF ROM? Like Brka said, Alcatel it's better, right? Can someone post an 1004 (or newer), to be flashed with SPFT, where we *all* ended with different Wi-Fi and BT MACs? Or is it really impossible? Once again, like Brka said, we can do a backup of original NVRAM before doing it (although I don't have it anymore) but I'm sure that's not the way it should be done. At least, every ROM that came from factory on a new phone, have different MACs. Besides, not every colleague at work have necessary skills to 'play arround' with SPFT and I'm afraid that we all end with same MACs, disrupting comms in office ;-) Thank in advance! |

Anyway ... I hope tomorrow I will get more time, and fulfill everyone's wishes, with both V985N rom and original 7045x ROM's, so you can do whatever you want. Also, if some of you can provide one NVRAM backup, I can check, and show you what to edit. (you can upload it and send link to PM, if you are afraid about your IMEI / identity info's) b.r. Alex
