A Guide to enable video recording on V3 without flashing



This guide is a courtesy of Samsung

A Guide to enable video record on the RAZR without flashing a ******* Pack to the phone.

What You Needs:
- Data Cable (Mini usb-some digital camera's, mp3player's , psp share this cable)
- P2kman (search the forum)
- XVI32 (search the forum)
- P2kmenueditor (search the forum)
- Phone needs to have 40.98R flash or higher (enter *#9999#)
**If firmware is older then 40.98R download a new flash from HERE

The Guide:
1. Open p2kman and above the Download seems button in the FROM box type 0032 & in the TO box also type 0032



2. Click download and save the file to a location but do NOT rename it, just leave as xxxx_yyyy

3. Above the Download seems button in the FROM box type 004a & in the TO box also type 004a.



4. Click download and save the file to a location but do NOT rename it, just leave as xxxx_yyyy

5. Click on update list button and find directory /a/mobile/system



6. Highlight file mma_ucp and press phone to pc button, save the file in the same location as you two backup seems. Highlight file mma_dcp and press phone to pc button, save the file in the same location as you two backup seems



7. Open XVI32 seem editor. Go to File and select open. Locate the 0032_0001.seem you download from your phone in step 1.


8. Locate offset offset 70 and go to tools and choose bit maniputlation.



9. Make sure that bit 6 is [checked] then press the SET button.
**Leave the other bits at their defaults**



10. Follow the same process the make sure that these hacks are done:
-offset 6E bit 3 [checked]
-offset 6E bit 2 [checked]
-offset 7D > bit 7 [checked]



11. Now save the seem to an alternate locate then the original so that you still have the default seem as a backup.

12. Now go to file, open and locate the 004a_0001.seem

13. Find offset 1D3 and instead of going to tools and choosing bit manipulation just type 01 with your keyboard to change the value of the offset.



14. Now go to file and choose save as. Save the file to a different location the the default to maintain your backup of the 004a_0001 seem.

15. Now open up p2kmenueditor and click on the open menu button. Then locate the mma_ucp file that we saved from your phone.



16. Go into the multimedia folder and click on the insert item button. Next choose video camera from the drop down menu to rename the new entry.



17. Save the file to a different location to keep your backup of the original mma_ucp file and repeat process for the mma_dcp file
**when you click on open menu button to locate the mma_dcp file you need to change type of files to ALL files**



18. Now open up p2kman and above the upload seems button, in the box labelled SEEM type 0032. In the box labelled REC type 0001. Click on the upload seem button and locate seem 0032_0001 that you modified. Wait till p2kman says ok



19. Above the upload seems button, in the box labelled SEEM type 004a. In the box labelled REC type 0001. Click on the upload seem button and locate seem 004a_0001 that you modified. Wait till p2kman says ok



20. Click on update list button. Open directory /a/mobile/system Locate mma_ucp, hightlight by single clicking on the file and then click on pc to phone button. Locate mma_ucp file that you modified and click open.



21. Locate mma_dcp, hightlight by single clicking on the file and then click on pc to phone button. Locate mma_dcp file that you modified and click open.

22. Click on the update list when list is done updating go to the /a/mobile/system directory and change the attribute for the mma_dcp file to 4.
**Leave the mma_ucp file's attribute the way it is**



23. Click on the restart phone button, when p2kman says phone is disconnected remove data cable. When phone powers up again Video should be enabled
