Motorola MicroTAC 5200 Conversion

Does anyone know where to begin on making this RF board function with a 1900 mHz band or 850 mHz band. I have been reading the schematics and noticed that this model has a Dielectric Filter instead of two large tx and rx filters. I desperately need to solve this, so that I can pick up United States signal. The only problem once i get this solved is inputing a six digit service provider code t manually select a provider; since this mobile phone is European, it only has five digits. This probably won't matter if it does pick up signal; it's just a precaution. Anyways, will replacing saw filters do the trick or is that only for lower frequency bands? I'm unable to post a pic but if you go to Youtube and visit EEVblog's video over the microTAC it will show you every part on the pcb.
