Need help on LCD repair on motorola v3x

Hi there guys , this is my first post on these forums.
Anyway over the new years celebration i managed to spill vodka and orange juice on my phone. The outside screen started to flicker until it eventually died (same with inside screen). I got my phone home and gave it some power hoping it would work. I was able to faintly read the LCD screen with aid of a bright torch. I came to the conclusion that the phone itself is fine but just the screen is buggered, so instead of forking out cash for a new one ive decided to try and repair this one, My plan is to buy a broken motorola v3x and replace the entire lcd PCB. My first question is , is this possile? . After i opened the phone up ive found that the pcb board that holds the lcd has some burnt items but the lcd itself looks fine. Is it possible to test the old lcd screen when i replace the pcb board or is there a chance i could fry the new board ?

I have attatched a photo of the PCB for my LCD to give you a better insight on what i want to replace

Welcome! Do a search for liquid or water damage here first. This is common issue; therefore, there is alot of information pertaining to this problem available here.

Most likely, you do not have to flash your phone. This is a hardware problem. Hopefully a thorough cleaning will fix it. If that doesn't work, you need repair or exchange the defective part.
