I have the same problem as marioarq with my V635 - "Insert SIM" message when I put in SIM card.
- Have used 3 different SIM cards that all work in any other phone
- Have cleaned the cards & the phone SIM connection pins, just in case
- Have Flashed the phone with every MP available about 3 times up through the full series - beginning with 24R to the most recent ones (and a couple Reflashes too)
- Did manage to unlock the phone without TP method after downgrading the Bootloader from 08.21 to 07.D0... BUT...

I had mucked around with the hardware and that is (I fear) where the damage was done... Tried unlocking a Rogers phone so I can use my Fido SIM. Tried using P2K Easy Tool v3.9 with TP, but since I couldn't seem to get the metal plate off to access the TestPoint, I stuck the wire though the hole in the metal plate that seems to be over the area of the TP, then held the battery in place, turned on the phone and attached the USB to it and my pc.

I had RSD Lite running in the background & it said it could read my phone & brought up the info. So I selected V635 on the unlock section of the P2K S/W and then clicked on "do selected jobs"... It gave the error "could not connect"... This is how the apparent damage was done.

Past replies told me I killed the circuit board. One friendly soul from the other side of the country has been trying to help via email but so far all the Flashing & Reflashing attempts have not changed this situation. FYI - I can successfully Flash, Reflash, and run a full backup & PDS backup... the phone will start up and shut down, with all dispays & sound functioning but I cannot get past the "insert SIM" message - with or without a valid SIM card.

The is a fairly recent phone purchase that I have not had a chance to use yet since I needed to unlock it first. Is it totally F'ed, or do I have a chance?? I would gladly pay to get this fixed if there was somewhere local that would do it (i.e. in Edmonton).

Can anyone help ??????? please....

Hy, i have a problem with a Moto v3x, i tried to unlock with usb-smart.it was succesfull, but when i tried to power on, the keylight turnned on, the screen displayed the HelloMoto welcome screen, and after that it restarted it self, and again and again....i tried to flash with usb-smart, smart clip and other.Please help me solve this problem, the phone is brand new... thank you.
