c975 no signal after unlock n reset! - GSM-Forum

My c975 was locked to the Three network, and I unlocked and master reset. I've put in an globe & smart USIM, and from switch on it finds the 2G, then the 2.5G, then the 3G signal. Once it finds the 3G signal it shows only the roaming icon (at least that's what I think it is) and won't let me make calls - just keep getting message 'Call Failed!' - it won't lock onto the network and after approximately 40 seconds it loses the signal altogether and doesn't automatically find it again. Useless!

Does anyone have experience of this problem and an solution? I'd be grateful for any advice.
