I have this same error. After restoring backup the phone info shows counters are 0. Or are real counter values not included in simlock backup? Phone was untouched when i started on it with mt box pro, so this means mt box pro must have messed up the counters? Maybe you can offer rpl service for free to mt box pro users when the box messes with the counters? Or is someting else wrong here?

V 03.92/13-10-06/RM-174 (c) Nokia.
IMEI: 35456501xxxxxxx
Operator: 8000000000000000
Profile bits: 2042000000000000

Counters 0/10, 0/3

PS: still 2 lost credits caused by this are not recovered yet. Please recover these too.

Well, i started at 250 credits and tried 3 phones now from which i unlocked 2 phones (2x 6233) so far and my creditcount is at 246 now. Ok, maybe not another one will be taken when i finally successfully unlock this 5200, but still 1 is lost then, right?

Also on the 6233's i did, the counters also showed 0/10, 0/3, so what's wrong with the 5200? Did some invisible counter get messed up by mt box pro (maybe by earlier version) and not get restored with backup? So do i still need to buy rpl? If yes, then why do I have to pay extra if I did exactly as shown in the manual? Not that i mind spending normal credits on the griffin server, but this box was already expensive enough not to expect having to pay more when counters get messed up by the program. I connected gnd to the metal shield directly next to the cpu, can't get any closer to tp?

Also check counter before start to unlock the phone.
Enable software to make backups and no worry.

Counters 0/10, 0/3
Phone is brand new out of the box. I have backup from first unlock attempt, but still all i get on unlock is:
TPs OK
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
TESTPOINT FAILED
FAILED, ALL ATTEMPTS USED!
After this I can choose to restore backup, connect TP again and get the same error over and over again. Sorry, but I do worry about this phone... What is wrong with this phone and how could this happen? Tell me what to do. Do I still need rpl even when I have backup and counters show 0/10, 0/3 ??? Or is there another problem with 5200?
