BB5 cable don't work with VPP hello PLEASE help with cables as I don't know what to think anymore. I am talking about BB5 cables with RJ45-8pin, that goes to MT-BOX with 10-to-8-pin adapter. if VPP wire is connected cable WON'T WORK. phone won't enter local mode and MT-BOX won't read phone. please note that phone powers in offline mode. if I cut VPP wire phone enters local mode and MT will read phone. everything should be ok but I WONDER IF SOME PHONE MODEL ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES VPP. I checked cables and adapter several times and they are wired correctly. I suspect there must be a modification to make VPP work with BB5 but I can't reach it. PLEASE HELP - MY RESELLER DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM - IF I DON'T FIND A SOLUTION I WILL END UP SELLING MT-BOX AND BUYING ANOTHER FLASHER.

thank you for your time, but I thought my explanation was clear enough. I don't know if cables are for JAF, but it doesn't matter. I have TOTALLY REBUILT cables with schemes found on mt-box support site. with VPP connected, BB5 phones don't enter LOCAL MODE. please post a schematic of the 10-to-8 adapter as I suspect it may be the problem.

Ok mate but if your box is from latest version not need this modification. 1st try to download mt2com from support site and start it. make vbat to 4.2v and vpp to 10v. Take a multimeter and mesure it to be sure all is ok.Post result and i will try to help you.

so... I have checked with multimeter and there is NO shortcut... I have built a new adapter from scratch, with 47K and 200K modification. I post here the log of what happens when I press the OK button. THIS IS WITH ORIGINAL ADAPTER, NO MODIFICATION: ============= Set Flash mode for info ============= VBat is 3.93V Vpp pin has 0.10V, Not Connected Pins: Mbus 1, Box Tx 1, Box Rx 1, Bsi 0 Boot... rap3gv3_2nd.fg RAP3Gv3_algo.fg BOOT OK... Phone Type: BB5 AND THIS IS WITH NEW ADAPTER, WITH 47K AND 200K RESISTORS: ============= Set Flash mode for info ============= VBat is 3.93V Vpp pin has 0.00V, Shortcut go ground Pins: Mbus 1, Box Tx 1, Box Rx 1, Bsi 0 Boot... rap3gv3_2nd.fg RAP3Gv3_algo.fg BOOT OK... Phone Type: BB5 the only difference is marked RED. phone used for test is 6233, and I REMOVED check from "disable VPP". what can you tell me now?

well... I understand, but this does not mean I am gonna give up. there must be something, and surely it can be fixed... are you sure my box doesn't require modification? it has been exchanged for fault while in warranty, so maybe the serial number is new and the hardware is old... is there any other thing I may check with multimeter? I can open box if you want... damn it I wanna fix it!
