Please Help. New MT box won't work. - GSM-Forum

I recently got a gti, griffin and mt-box. I was able to activate the mt box (loaded drivers, read serial number and activated support account). However right after i did that the box died/would not respond. I cannot get the computer to recognize it in the usb port at all.When I plug it in the plug and play new hardware is not detecting it, not even after scanning new hardware etc. I tried a couple different cables etc. and no go. There is ACP-12u power going to the box however there is no light coming from the 2 leds by the service cable jack..Shouldn't the LED's light up like original Griffin box? Is the box maybe fried or faulty?
Please advise..

after connect Your MT-box to PC windows XP must recognize new device

install drivers and this is all.

leds must be OFF

That is the problem, windows xp doesnt recognize the box...and the drivers are installed. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing (which should re-install the drivers) and still no response through the usb from the box.??? Please help!!

Problem is USB connector
Clean the usb connector on the box
Try to compress the usb connector, so that it makes proper contact
If you can raise the pins, it will help
Try and let us know

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried raising the contacts. The box is brand new so it should have clean contacts. I tried 2 different brand new cables and still no recognition from windows xp.
Any other suggestions? Will Griffin warranty the box if its faulty?

contact your reseler for replace box
